REMINDER: Impending Temporary DNRC Closure of Spencer Trails

It probably feels like we've been talking about the upcoming timber salvage at Spencer Mountain for at least a year now (because it really has been that long), but it is finally about to officially be upon us. Here are some details: 

• Operations are very likely to begin within the next month (by mid-May). Once the timber salvage begins, they have a 30-day limit on operations.
• The DNRC will enact a 24/7, full closure of all North Spencer Trails, including access to these trails from the South Spencer Trailhead (as well as any other access points along the way).
• FAMB is communicating with the DNRC in an attempt to mitigate damages to trail features and to remain updated on the status of operations.
• Our Flathead Trail Crew and volunteers will be ready to repair, restore, and improve these beloved trails after timber salvage operations conclude.
