The US Forest Service has issued a draft decision regarding management of the Whitefish Face area, which spans from Haskill Basin to Werner Peak. The decision provides for 28 miles of new multi-user trails which will connect to Whitefish Mountain Resort trails, the Whitefish Trail, and to existing trails North of WMR. For more info, check out this Flathead Beacon article or the text of the draft decision. There will be a 45 day objection period before the final decision is issued. FAMB has represented the interests of mountain bikers throughout this process and is pleased with the result.
