Flathead Area Mountain Bikers is raising money to build a pump track in Armory Park in Whitefish!! You might be asking yourself, "What is a pump track?" A pump track is similar to a scaled down BMX track. The Armory Park Pump Track project will feature rollers, small jumps, and banked turns. The general premise of a pump track is that riders can maintain speed and ride through the looped track without pedaling, propelling themselves through the track by shifting their body weight, or “pumping”, throughout the track contours.
We thank the City of Whitefish for approving this project. As of mid-July, 2017, we have raised over $3,700 of the cost of construction, but in order to make the pump track a reality, we need to raise the rest of the money from you, the community.
Thanks to the Whitefish Community Foundation, FAMB has been selected to participate in the 2017 Great Fish Community Challenge, a spectacularly successful community fundraising event that raises money each year for many amazing local community-based charities. Please consider supporting FAMB's pump track when you donate this year in the Great Fish Challenge. No donation is too small, and your donation is tax deductible. We appreciate your support! If you own a construction, fencing or irrigation business and might be able to help us with construction and/or materials, please contact us! Ready? Set? Get pumped!!
